My mother and father had immigrated from Mexico to the United States They had to travel first in a bus then it was all walking. They sometimes had no food nor water for couple of days. They would go in a group with a smuggler, they would sleep in a van that had waited for them out in the middle of the dirt fields. Then they had to jump this enormous wall that was at the border between the United States and Mexico.
My mom did her journey first then my father went second. Since both of them grew up in the same town they did the same journey with the same smuggler but my mom went through more obsticles. When my mom had arrived to the U.S., she was staying with her brother, my uncle Raul and my aunt Letty in a one bedroom apartment. They both immigrated to the United States because they were going through economic issues with both sides of my family, they also wanted to have kids who would have a better future. My mother immigrated before I was born, she was 15 years old and my father was 16. At first they lived with my aunts and uncles for a year until my dad got a job and they got their own place in LA.
When I was 3 years old they seperated and my dad moved to Georgia and my mom stayed a single parent. Couple years after that my dad had 2 daughters and then my mom had 2 boys. I visited my dad when I was 7 years old and since then I haven't seen him till this day, and I'm 17.
